Raymond Fong came to the States from Taiwan when he was 9 years old. He still remembers the days of learning “a is for apple, b is for book, and c is for cat”.
Given that his mother had to leave him in Taiwan for 4 years when he was only 5 just so she can setup their immigration process – he does NOT take the U.S.’s title of the “Land of Opportunity” lightly.
He relishes in the opportunities and is taking full advantage of it.
After graduating from high school with flying colors (complete with an International Baccalaureate Diploma and a perfect 4.0 GPA) he found himself at Harvey Mudd College in 1999.
In between getting creamed by 8 hours of physics labs, countless number of sleepless nights working on MicroProcessor project, and flunking chemistry tests, he found relief in playing rugby, weight lifting, and studying abroad in Australia for a semester.
Upon graduation from HMC in 2003, Raymond followed his “passion” for engineering and went to work for a defense company full time while obtaining his Masters in Computer Engineering from U.S.C. part time (he got his MS in 2005).
However, he quickly learned that while his passion may have lied with engineering, his personality clashed with the concept of a having “J-O-B”. His passion quickly fizzled.
He came to understand that he was “Psychologically Unemployable”.
Fortunately, this is the “Land of Opportunity”.
He met some key people that helped guide him down the path of entrepreneurship. One such person was Fernando Ceballos. Together they sought to conquer the world, one product, one customer and one market at a time, using the most powerful weapon on earth – the power of words.
They are now full-fledged internet marketers always studying up on the latest and greatest Web 2.0 marketing strategies and teaching businesses and individuals how to market themselves.
They continue to develop themselves not only as marketers but also as leaders, communicators, and good “people” in general.
They both firmly believe the adage championed by Zig Ziglar, “You can have everything in life you want, if you will just help other people get what they want.”
Their goal is always to be adding value to the people. After all, as their martial art instructor says, “Man should not chase after money. Money chases after man.”
Raymond has the full support of his family – father: Lin Fong; mother: Anna Fong; and sister: Michelle Fong – which means the world to him. Their unwavering belief and trust in him help fuel his passion, enthusiasm, and dedication.
