How To Use the “Secret Weebly Tool” To Create a Fully Functional Capture Page in Less Than 10 Minutes for FREE

“A great sales letter, selling a great product, to a poor list
will never do as well as a so-so letter, selling a so-so product
to a HOT mailing list”

- Vincent James,
author of ‘12 Month Millionaire’

Have you fire your web developers yet?

I hope so.

At least until your business takes off so hard and fast, you won’t have time to be playing with this new ninja tool, because you’ll be off in Costa Rica scuba diving and hanging with my TICO brothers and sisters sipping wine next to an active volcano with a bright red flow of lava coming off the side of it.

I was here last year. Very cool!

But before we play, you got to get to work to grow your business. So let’s get to it…

Today, we are going to continue where we left off the last time when I showed you how to use your new “Secret Ninja Website” tool.

The most crucial part to your online marketing efforts for your small or home based business will be the ability for you to build a targeted and big list of prospects. The way to build a list online specific to your business is with a lead capture page.

If you for some reason missed the part of your AMF bootcamp, which talks about lead capture pages, please go review Bootcamp NL#4. After you’ve reviewed it, come back to this page.

Instant Capture Pages

I’ve gone ahead and created another video for you guys, showing you exactly how to create your very own custom capture page. NO HTML SKILLS REQUIRED!

This week, my partner Raymond and I will be releasing the Attraction Marketing Formula Second Edition, which will rocket you up to “super star status” in the home based and small business industry. There is NO BETTER INVESTMENT YOU CAN MAKE than to learn the art of Attraction Marketing.

I’ll be setting the release date very soon. I was side-tracked a little bit by the California Wildfires, since the smoky air messed up my breathing. But, I’m ok now. :)

Enjoy your video and be on the lookout!

How To Setup a Website & Start Capturing Leads and Customers Even If You Are a Complete Computer Dunce

Question from an AMF Subscriber:
“Do you have to be internet savvy to put this system into use
and to develop a web site to capture leads?”
-Pat

This is a common, yet very daunting challenge many beginning internet marketers have. Thank you, Pat for reminding me to address this.

I’m no stranger to the fear technology strikes in the people.

Back in 1998 when I was headed to Boston to begin my education in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at MIT, I had no idea what I was getting myself into. I had never owned a computer in my life and very rarely used one.

My experience with computers prior to that was playing the Oregon Trail video game in elementary school and using my sister’s Brother™ word-processor to type up my reports.

I felt like I was the only person at MIT who never owned a computer, nor knew how to use one. And I was going to enter the most challenging Computer Science curriculum in the world?!?! What the *flip* was I thinking?!?!

How’d you like to pay $36,000 per year to get slaughtered?!?

Computer Programming on Crack!

During my second semester I took 6.001 - Introduction to Computation Structures (Programming On Crack!) and I was lost. My roommate Eric had been working with computers and electronics his whole life, so I naturally clinged to his leg and begged him to help me survive my freshman year.

I bought him beer, food and promised to keep my mariachi music off when he was in the room, if he would only help me.

For the next 6 weeks, I had no idea what I was doing — I was completely lost. Eric basically held my hand for those first few weeks and essentially narrated my programming assignments to me. (He told me what to type and I typed it.)

Facing My Technical Fears

Then one day and decided to confront the computer myself and take my training wheels (my friend) off. I pushed the ON button on Eric’s computer, (I didn’t own one). Logged onto the school network. Downloaded my assignment and read the instructions.

Whew! I was drained. Just that, was enough to rattle my nerves. But I stuck to my guns and started typing. About 30 minutes into my assignment I heard a “click” go off in my head…
…And Miracles Began to Happen !

Eric walked into the room with me typing away at the computer and writing code and he said, “Hey! You’re doing your homework!” I replied with a big grin on my face, “Yes, I am. Need any help with the assignment?” ;)

I played catch up for the rest of the semester (I was 6 weeks behind) and I managed to scrape by with a C minus in the class. But it was the hardest earned C minus of my life! This experience taught me a lot about overcoming your fears, especially when it comes to technology.

I’ve had a lot of people whine about their belief that they weren’t born to work with computers. (As if anyone was.) Excuse after excuse after excuse. But what they are really saying is that “I’m afraid of failing, if I try. I’m afraid of not getting it.

Fear is the most paralyzing thing on this planet and it’s not even real!!!

The truth is that web technology, especially the type you need to start your marketing campaigns, is very simple. You just can’t fear it!

Learning marketing concepts is much more challenging than creating an HTML webpage. And marketing isn’t that hard either!

A couple of years ago, my girlfriend who majored in Religious Studies in college learned how to create HTML pages when she was asked to write newsletters at her job. I bought her a Beginners HTML guide and she did the rest on her own. The hardest part was having to convince herself that she is capable of doing it.

The Internet Marketer’s Dirty Little Secret

Ok, so now that I’ve pushed you to the edge of the technology cliff and forced you to confront your “techie” issues — I have a secret to let you in on…

Ready?

The most successful millionaire internet marketers in the world don’t know jack about making websites or creating software! That’s right! You don’t need to know anything about programming, or making websites to be an internet marketer. In fact, in many ways it’s an advantage.

Being a technical dunce forces you to become the architect and manager of your marketing system and not get caught up in time consuming tasks associated with the grunt work of making websites. Everyone should learn to delegate technical jobs to other capable people on your team.

You can even hire your kids or someone else’s kids to learn and do these things for you. Today’s kids are very sharp and very savvy with the internet. Paying them $8 per hour to setup your internet marketing empire is a no brainer!

So here is a basic roadmap for getting started with little to no web experience:

  1. Go to your local library or bookstore and find a beginners guide on HTML. Learn how to create an HTML site and have at least one other person you know (kids, high school kids, or friend) learn along side with you.
  2. Buy a copy of Microsoft Front Page (or other WYSIWYG editor) and use that to start creating websites. Use your HTML skills for the fine tuning, not the creation of the full web pages. Front Page allows you to create a webpage as if you were creating a MS Word Document.
  3. Get your copy of the Attraction Marketing Formula™ to learn how the architecture of your marketing system is going to work and learn everything you will need to know to make it work.
  4. Identify your front-end product (affiliate or your own), back-end services (your business), get an autoresponder and create the 3 or 4 webpages you’ll need to create for your Attraction Marketing system.
  5. Keep your main role as your manager and architect, and divide up other tasks. If you are still having trouble with the technical side, make sure your partner can create websites or go to Elance.com or RentaCoder.com and hire someone to create your website. Create the web pages and link them appropriately to each other.
  6. Buy a domain at GoDaddy.com and their Web Hosting Services for a couple bucks per month to host your website.
  7. Get a PayPal account to process your sales.
  8. Turn on the Traffic - You’ll learn how to turn on 10 different sources of internet traffic (both free and paid) in the Attraction Marketing Formula course.
  9. Continue learning…

Your system should have the following architecture or something similar. Notice there are only 3 important pages as part of your marketing.

Magic Slot Machine

Well, that’s about it. Remember to learn the art of delegating and try not to do everything yourself. You can find links to all the tools you’ll need at:

Tools of Attraction Marketing - http://tools.sollabec.com

When deciding on what to hire out, start with the tasks which require the least expertise like:

  • Answering the phones and customer service
  • Webpage creation
  • Posting Online Classifieds
  • Light bookkeeping & tracking expenses and revenue
  • Posting Articles in Online Directories
  • MySpace Marketing

You should then think about hiring out for other tasks as you start generating some revenue. You’ll want to eventually hire someone to do things like:

  • Search Engine Optimization
  • Copywriting
  • Create a Forum for your Website
  • Script and Software Development for Special Functions You May Want
  • Accounting

Other things you can do, no matter your technical abilities are:

That’s it! I hope this helped clear up a few things.

It seems like a lot, but your best bet is to grab a copy of the Attraction Marketing Formula™ and use that as your “bible” to guide you through this process. It will be the best investment you will ever make.

I just got an email from a business partner about a 9 Landing page split-test contest which ended last month.

An SEO Company named SEOmoz held a contest and invited people to design landing pages to do two things:

  1. Capture People’s Information
  2. Convert Those People to a Sale

Out of 9 finalist, including some very pretty and “professional” designs, the top 2 performing landing pages were:

  1. Classic Long Copy Sales Letter (260 Opt-ins, 73 Sales)
  2. Short “Above the Fold” Capture Page (365 Opt-ins, 69 Sales)

Here’s a shot of the results:

Landing Page Stats from Offermatica

Jonathan Mendez, who helped with the contest was interviewed and as the last question he was asked:

Q: Do you have 3-4 top tips that you could share on landing page design and testing that you find to be exceptionally beneficial?

A: Sure, how about I give you three for design and three for testing:

Design

  • Simplify everything
  • Reinforce intentions
  • Limit choices

Testing

  • Let the data end your test, not your calendar
  • Understand results by segment
  • Technology is only as good as the marketer using it

Very interesting stuff on the power of effective copy and simplicity over lot’s of bells and whistles and ‘artsy fartsy’ designs.

In the FREE Attraction Marketing Bootcamp, I go over Capture Page and Sales Page design in detail, where I strongly encourage designers to baseline their pages first with ONLY copy (words).  Then after you have winning copy, improve the looks while testing any changes.  Sometimes adding cosmetic upgrades to a site will actually lower convertions, so always test.
